Magical Women

Call it whatever you like –
-academic types, literary types, or hells pseudo-academic types like to call it a book club
-spiritual types, believing in building community, communing with women nourishes the soul like to call it a women’s circle
-older (with the utmost respect) ladies having bake sales or anything sales like to call it a Lady’s Guild
But it’s all the same – being surrounded by women.

This post is not meant to discriminate the wonderful male sex – all I’m trying to say is that there’s something great for a woman to be in some sort of women’s group (the kind where there is no catty-ness) – you get together have a glass of wine, eat snacks, talk about life, love, work, pleasures*, conflicts, despair and share. Having that environment to commune with other women in a sacred place is so beautiful. It provides such a nourishing outlet.

I just got back from my book club and I’m riding a female high. Long live the ladies.

I completely agree man, thats what my girl says some times, like she misses a girls night out, just like...girl talk, checkin out man-butts, giggling, talking bout sex wi their respectives, jus GIRL STUFF, but the balance is very critical I feel. When women dont get women company for some time they kinda miss it and get cranky and strange and too much of it their retractable claws are out and they're ready for a cat fight. Its pretty similar for the wonderful male sex as well, keep us away from the boy's night out and try an domesticate us and we'll explode (on the wrong people for sure) and too much we'll just get into a drunken brawl...

Green Blad -- It's so good that we recognize that. I have friends both girls and guys that almost get offended when their significant other hangs with the gals or boys (which is ridiculous to the highest degree). You can't help but get stir crazy w/o that outlet....otherwise my poor husband suffers the reprucussions.

Well may he beware of those retractable claws and suffer repurcussions if he dares to stop the girl bond! :D

Sonia -- in a way blogging is kind like a virtual women's circle -- w/o the the snacks.. which isn't fun.

We should have a bloggers chatroom where we can all talk and eat snacks at the same time =)

ZONKERS, refound my blog (THIS blog) from 2005

Wow, it's cringe worthy in all of its honest glory.  I am in the middle of re-reading almost 500 posts.  It's awesome to relive most...
