Purses

I have one good purse. My parents bought me this amazing Coach purse 2 years ago for my b-day and it’s fantastic. 2 years later and it still looks like brand new. I use it as my everyday purse – lug it to work, the gym, shopping, etc. It’s probably not wise. I’m not the type of gal who is willing to spend oodles of money on purses (maybe one day when hubby is partner). So for now I need to keep my Coach-baby in tip-top shape and perhaps store in in the closet unless I have special parties to go to.

Well, I was ecstatic to go to Target during lunch today and find a nice large black purse (great for files) for $6 on the clearance aisle. How fantastic is that? I love it! I love the price! I HEART good sales. Made a purse switch in my office!

As you probably know, I'm in love with Target. I would marry it if I could! The purse section is a key part of my affections (the other being the DRESSES!) It's great to be able to pick up cute, trendy pieces on the cheap!

Target should get an award, it should be idolized, it should be in the Hall of Fame - I just love that place. I seriously must have spent $1000 there last year, especially when they had the Global Bazaar section - but hey, we have some gorgeous items in the house now =)

Roonie you were so right!!! Maisnon I gotta check out the dresses next, especially if they're anything like the purse section. Sonia -- Global Bazaar here I come. *Sigh* I want a house.

Target has the best selection of purses I've ever seen. And all of their styles are just like the Marc Jacobs and Balenciagas you see at Neiman Marcus, but for about 1/20th of the price. It's great if you like to change purses with each outfit.

But I do *guiltily* splurge once or twice a year on a designer bag. There's nothing like the feel of a well made leather bag to make you feel like a million bucks. I consider them investments I can pass on to my daughters in the future, the same way my Mom has promised me her Chanel and LV bags when she's done with them. (Here's my turn to apologize for being raised in privilege. My Dad's a doctor, he can afford to buy my Mom Chanel bags. And my husband is a Senior Manager at an Audit LLP, he can afford to buy me one or two bags too. I know there are people who don't have this kind of money, but I'm sorry.)

CM -- I heart you. Hubby is taking the bar exam this summer, and will be working as a full-fledged attorney starting 9/11 -- I best be getting some nice purses. I'm goint to justify the cost by telling him that they really are heirlooms to be passed down.

HEIRLOOMS!

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Good one. I like that. I'm going to file that in the mental Rolodex for when/if I ever marry a man whose money I am entitled to spend. What a freakin' great argument.

ZONKERS, refound my blog (THIS blog) from 2005

Wow, it's cringe worthy in all of its honest glory.  I am in the middle of re-reading almost 500 posts.  It's awesome to relive most...
